- What is orthogonality? (2011-III-21) The M-Gen will do the calibration and display the directions with two vectors. If they are not orthogonal, it can be seen, the M-Gen measures it. But the corrections are calculated as the directions were orthogonal, so the guiding signal lengths may be "wrong", currently. (Despite it can guide well in most of the cases, only the aggressivity values should be set lower.) The firmware must be prepared for such a 'not orthogonal case' and then it would be able to control any mount then (if the directions don't change/rotate with time). I've recorded this 'feature' on my firmware todo list. The guider will allow then (or use correctly) any calibration results after that firmware version.
